Laurie M. Tisch is the President of the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund. The fund’s goal is to make it easier for New Yorkers to access opportunities. Ms. Tisch is a philanthropist who comes from a family with a long history of giving in New York City.

In 2017, she was recognized as one of the “50 Most Powerful Women” by Crain’s New York Business. Additionally, in 2020, Avenue Magazine included her in their Power 50 list for Philanthropy.
She was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York Foundation for the Arts, the United Way of NYC’s 10th Anniversary Power of Women to Make a Difference award, and the New York Women’s Foundation’s leadership award. She received the “No Kid Hungry” Hero Award from Share Our Strength and the Special Merit in Public Health Award from New York City.
These awards recognized her efforts to improve access to healthy food in low-income communities. She has also been honored with the Lincoln Center Distinguished Service Award. She received an honorary doctorate from Yeshiva University. In 2022, Ms. Tisch helped produce A Strange Loop, which won the Tony Award for Best Musical.
