Mason Jenkins, a 42-year-old Canadian, was convicted of murdering his sister Jennifer. He is currently serving a life punishment in prison.
In 1998, her brother shot and killed her, as stated in the police report. In 2001, Jenkins was charged with first-degree murder.
Since then, he has been allowed to temporarily leave twice to attend the funerals of his grandmother and father.

Is Mason Jenkins Still In Prison?
Mason Jenkins is currently in jail, serving his prison sentence. In 2001, he was sentenced to prison without the possibility of parole for nearly 30 years.
In 2019, he was given permission to attend his late father’s ashes interment ceremony with an escort. The Parole Board of Canada accepted his request, and he was allowed to be absent for only 30 hours.
In 2013, when Jenkins went to his grandmother’s funeral, he was not allowed to be with the general public.
The board also said that being there when his father passed away would help his family support him and be a step towards reintroducing into society.

Mason Jenkins Family
He was born in 1980 in the Canadian city of Chatham, Ontario. He was Brian Jenkins and Leslie Jenkins’ younger child.
